Wild Olive
This delightful up-market delicatessen-cum-eatery, is the brainchild of equally delightful Julie Lindheim. Everything that Julie and her talented team cook up is made to order and they use only the freshest ingredients.

The buffet-style breakfast and lunches are served in the secluded garden seating area at the back of the premises, and they change the menu on a daily basis, using what is in season. Wild Olive also serves some of the best sandwiches around, with fillings that include gorgonzola, chilli jam, roasted veggies, home-made mayo’s and pesto’s and the yummiest signature freshly baked cakes.

Wild Olive is every foodie’s dream: they will make any dinner party a breeze with ready-made desserts, soups, ice-creams to die for, home-made stocks… you name it, Wild Olive probably has it. Julie will also create the perfect meal for you in your very own dishes, which will wow your friends and keep them coming back for more!

The chef
Julie Lindheim is the owner and passionate chef of Wild Olive Food Store, and describes herself as a “food fashionista”. She studied a National Diploma in Food and Nutrition at Technikon Natal, and her first job was as a food technologist for the Fresh Foods Department of Pick ‘n Pay.

She then started her own business, Food Inspirations, as a freelance food stylist working for ad agencies and magazines. In addition to running her busy deli, she is still a contributing cookery writer and recently returned to the challenging world of freelance food styling.

Julie believes a balanced lifestyle is essential for a healthy body and mind, and regular trips to the gym not only stimulate her appetite, but get her creative juices flowing too! Julie is passionate about good coffee and has a weakness for all things sweet. Her favourite fruits are plums and nectarines
