Nomad Bistro Fusion has been open a couple weeks now. Situated on Waterkant Street in Cape Town’s CBD, it is run by a very passionate duo Mohit Sureka and chef Mardia Swartz. They offer breakfast and lunch at the moment but you can catch them in the evenings on First Thursdays. The menu explores common French dishes like Croque Monsieur, Ouefs en cocotte and crêpes. This is mixed up with other influences from Turkey and Italy hence the word fusion in the name!
The restaurant is spacious and airy with rustic, industrial decor combining much recycled wood.
Food24 was invited to taste Nomad’s offerings. Highlights of the food included the Croque Monsieur, Caprese sandwich, flatbreads and the zucchini pasta. They also serve great coffee from Peacock.
