6 Top Jozi food trucks and where to find them

The food truck scene has mushroomed in recent years and now you can find at least one in most of SA’s major cities. Joburg is teeming with them and we’ve listed a few of the ones that deserve a visit!

1. Snorting Boar Smoker

The Snorting Boar Smoker is the perfect place to get your fix of tender, slow-cooked American-style meat. From saucy ribs to falling-off-the-bone front hock Eisbein, the Snorting Boar Smoker will have your mouth watering from their delicious aromas. Follow your nose to The Hoods in Johannesburg on #foodtruckfridays  as well as around the city at markets and festivals.

This bright red food truck, identified by their distinguished moustache, makes the perfect burger served on a somun – a traditional flatbread from Serbia. Accompanied by their homemade kashkaval, a semi-hard yellow cheese native to the Balkans, every bite is bursting with flavour and character..

The Balkan burger can be found in Braamfontein at the Neighbourgoods Market every Saturday, The Market on Main in Maboneng, and every Sunday at The Farmers Market in Fourways.
