3 essential summer mocktails to try this holiday season

It’s that time of year again when the feeling of summer and fun is undeniably palpable. South Africa is warming up, some places faster than others and what better way to cool down than with a deliciously refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail. Summer brings with it a series of social engagements and the opportunity to open our homes to entertaining and year-end fun.

Lipton Ice Tea has put together 3 essential summer mocktails for you to try this holiday season.  Pep up your long weekend’s and cool off with these refreshing recipes:

 

PINA TEA-LA DABring the summer to your glass with the dreamy scent of coconut and Lipton Ice Tea Lemon.

What you’ll need:
• 500ml Lipton Ice Tea Sugar Free Lemon
• ½ cup pineapple juice
• ¼ cup cream of coconut
• 2 pineapple wedges
• 1 cup ice

Method:Blend the Lipton Ice Tea Lemon, pineapple juice and cream of coconut until smooth. Serve in a glass filled with ice and garnish with fresh pineapple wedges and a bright cocktail umbrella.

 

WHITE CITRUS SANGRIA
A tangy blend of citrus flavours to revitalise and invigorate you this season.

What you’ll need:

• 500ml Lipton Green Ice Tea with Lemon
• 1 ¾ cups white grape juice
• ¼ cup orange juice
• 1 orange
• 1 cup ice

Method:Cut the orange into slices and give them a quick sizzle in a hot pan. Set some aside to cool and pop the rest into a large pitcher. Pour in the Lipton Green Ice Tea, white grape juice and orange juice and mix. Chill for at least 2 hours then add ice and garnish with leftover orange wheels.

SUMMER PUNCH
Sweet and refreshing – this might be the closest you’ll come to tasting summer!

What you’ll need:
• 2 bottles of 500ml Lipton Ice Tea Sugar Free Lemon
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 lemon
• 1 lime
• Handful of mint

Method:Cut up the lemon and lime into thin slices or wedges. Leave the peels on. Combine Lipton Ice Tea Sugar Free Lemon with orange juice in a large jug and stir in sliced fruits. Serve in tall ice-filled glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.
