WATCH: 2 easy hacks for chilling wine fast

chilled-wine-hacks

Nothing ruins a day quite like warm wine. Here are two easy hacks (that actually work) to try for the next time you’re entertaining or are in need of chilled wine stat!

Salted ice bucket

The next time you’re making up an ice bucket, add a bunch of ordinary table salt to the mix. Water freezes at a lower temperature when salty, so putting ice in salty water will make the ice cubes melt faster, which in turn chills your wine faster. It’s all highly scientific, but we’re honestly just here for the chilled wine!

Frozen grapes

If you’d prefer to chill your wine down fast without diluting it with ice cubes, try popping some grapes in the freezer. Anything from 20 minutes to overnight in the freezer will have the grapes icy cold and ready to chill your wine to perfection. An added bonus is that as the grapes defrost and chill the wine, they make great snacks along the wine journey!
