The Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Joburg has a new Winter menu. Running until July 31, you can choose from three fondues that can be shared between four people.
There’s a classic cheese fondue that includes rosemary and garlic croutons, crudité, artichoke and broccolini at R295 per person; a carnivore fondue with Angus beef fillet, veal noche, chicken fillet, portobellini mushrooms and chimichurri dipping sauces at R395 per person; and finally a Chinese fondue – with farmed sea bass, Norwegian salmon, queen prawns, calamari, Kenyan beans and Vietnamese and peanut sauce dipping sauces at R395 per person. It’s a little pricy in my opinion, but if there was ever a reason to brave the winter cold this would be it. Splash out and dig in.
