WATCH: Inside look at SA’s first Dunkin Donuts

Last week we reported on all the details you needed to know about the upcoming launch of Dunkin Donuts. This week Food24 was invited to the pre launch to taste and experience the famous coffee shop’s first ever South African store.

First impressions:

The donuts are fresh fresh fresh thanks to the company’s freezing technology that keeps the donuts intact (at this stage the pastry part of the donut is still imported). The exciting flavours include rocky road, caramel, lemon meringue and the famous Boston Cream which we sadly didn’t get to try as they are waiting on stock.

The Original Blend, known as ‘the drip’ coffee, is served with sugar already added, so if you’re not up for the 3 teaspoons of sugar, specify when you place your order.

We received the warmest of welcomes from the staff who seemed just as excited as we were to be there. Watch their welcoming in the video below.

The store officially opens on Thursday 13 October, 12pm.
