Here we go again.

I
shall be organised and perfect and not drink too much and be healthy and make
wholesome packed lunches every day.

These
were some of my sunny holiday aspirations. I was filled with hope and bright
anticipation of the things that 2012 would bring (and lots of Savvy Blanc).

Fool.
I botched most of them the next day.

But
who ever gives up something on the 1st of January? It
shouldn’t be allowed, I mean what’s Boxing Day without a few recovery Bloody Marys
and a beautiful eggs
Benedict
?

In
my mind, the kick-off for resolutions are the 1st day of work, it’s
easier on all fronts and I feel ready to take on new and (almost) impossible
foodie feats (most of my resolutions being foodie that is).

We
can do it! Here are some of my resolutions and how I’m going to action them,
perhaps you have the same if not similar ones? Please tell me all about them
and the coolest one gets a sassy R250 Kalahari
voucher.

1.
Detox: Not the eat nothing and almost die one. The drink lots of ginger tea every
day (as well as real food) to cleanse my system one.

2.
Eat a good, healthy breakfast like these scrummy
baked oats
and have a (full) jug of water next to my desk at all
times.

3.
Drink more smoothies
– they are so great for smashing in high nutrition and cleansing the system.

4.
Eat more fresh salads
and vegetarian dishes. I love love veggie food and
there are hundreds of superb dishes to make sans the heaviness of meat.

5.
Try to eat smaller meals and snack in-between on healthy things like garlicky hummus
with wholewheat pita or crudités, roasted spicy
chickpeas
or these funky fruit
sticks
with a nutty dip.

6.
Indulge in gorgeous healthy desserts like my strawberries
with nuts and honey
and this healthy
cheese cake
.

7.
Have a cheesy cheat day every now and again – because I’m worth it!
