The Art of Whisky

Titled ‘The Art of Whisky’ and ‘The Whisky culture in South Africa’, the exhibition showcases the works of selected artists from all corners of South Africa and encompasses all artistic genres, including art, fine art, graphic design, photography and sculpture

The artists have responded to a call to action from LiquidChefs and Schweppes to create artworks reflecting South Africa’s bar culture. The resulting artworks are influenced by different brands such as LiquidChefs, J&B JET, Glenfiddich and Dewars 12 Year old and the City of Joburg.

Their contributions to the exhibition explore the history of the drinks, the art of creating drinks, serving them, as well as enjoying them. LiquidART is an exciting way for LiquidChefs to provide the local art world with a wider platform to showcase their extraordinary talents.

For each piece of art, LiquidChefs have created their own art which will be served in the form of a sophisticated whisky cocktail by the LiquidChefs barmen styled by Redken.

A silent auction will take place at the FNB Whisky Live Festival of all the art work being exhibited. The artists will be receiving 25% of the auction price, and the remainder of the price for each artwork will be donated to charity.
