What a
great way to end a month and a half of tapas lurve than with a Vinatics dinner?
It seemed quite appropriate to us when we were wondering what wines to pair
with KWV’s Classic Collection – they’re such good value, easy-drinking quaffers
that they seemed made for this kind of relaxed, informal, friendly dining.

The Dinner – the civilised one

These blog
reports are increasingly sounding like a series of ‘Friends’ but it’s true –
after the outrageous antics of the previous Vinatics dinners, this one was
refined, civilised, intellectual (well, a bit anyway) and to be honest,

And now
we’ve got a case of wine to give away to you! Well, one lucky
reader/blogger/foodie/wine person anyway. All you have to do is get hold of a
bottle or two of KWV’s Classic Collection wines – most Ultra Liquors or Pick n
Pay’s should be able to help – pick some of your favourite tapas dishes and
have some friends round for a relaxed, convivial evening. Send us some pics and

Does anyone drink wine in Joburg?

We’ve had
lots of entries from Capetonians, Western Cape-ers, Durbanites – but never any from Joburg. What’s up with you all up there? We
know you cook and we’re fairly sure you drink as well – so give it a go this
month and let us send you some wine for your efforts! And if you think that
Gauteng-ers can’t cook – then put your money where your mouth is and have a go
