Sandra Bullock opens ‘green’ burger joint
This earth-friendly burger joint, deserves a green thumbs-up. The super short, yet tasty, fast food menu consists of incredibly fresh, organic, hormone free ingredients, all fewer than eight dollars.
Burger choices include Kobe beef, Spicy Black Bean or Garden, with five choices of cheese, grilled or raw onions, juicy tomatoes and pickles. Crisp, lightly battered fries or onion rings round off the feast. They also serve organic Heinz ketchup and organic Jones teas.
The decor here is bright and clean. Steel-topped tables are mounted to the walls, flanked by bent-plywood benches stylishly branded with the Cisco Burger logo
A bright patch of grass and umbrella-topped tables in the back let you dine al fresco; many patrons even like to bring their dogs.
As for the green aspect of the restaurant, the whole restaurant is powered by the sun. All fixtures hanging over the tables are equipped with energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs and their to-go containers are biodegradable. They’re also working with the Long Beach Recycling Programme to keep things moving in the right direction.
