This Zanzibar rum smiler is lip-lekker beach-time drink, paired with, you guessed it, a little kick of island-style rum.

Ingredients (9)

2-3 cardamom — bruised to release seeds
1 cinnamon — stick
1/3 lemon grass — stick
1 Tbs fresh mint
250 ml water — boiled
250 ml water
2 rum
lime — juice only
ice

Method:

First, make your ‘tea’ using the cinnamon, cardamom, lemongrass, and mint and the boiling water.

Leave to steep for 5 minutes. Then strain, add in the cool water and leave to cool completely before filling up your glass with ice, and adding in the rum, and a squeeze of lime and extra mint if you like.
