Ingredients (14)

1 onion — finely chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
500 g lean beef mince
1 tin Rhodes Quality Chopped and Peeled Tomatoes
2 tbsp Rhodes Quality Dill Whole Gherkins — chopped
2 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp steak and chop spice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
salt and black pepper — to season
2 cup penne pasta — cooked
3/4 cup cheddar cheese — grated
spring onion — chopped, to garnish

Method:

In a large skillet sauté onion in the olive oil over medium heat until soft and lightly browned. Add the mince and sauté to brown.

Stir in the Rhodes Quality Peeled and Chopped Tomatoes, chopped Rhodes Quality Whole Dill Gherkins, mustard, ketchup, steak seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

Stir through the pasta and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in an oven heated to 180°C for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Garnish with sliced green onions, serve with a fresh green slaw and enjoy!
