Ingredients (5)

2 pears — peeled
1 bacon — cooked, chopped
1 eggs — beaten
200 g blue cheese
2 puff pastry

Method:

Preheat oven to 200°C and grease a baking tray with cooking spray.

Slice pears thinly and set aside.  Roll out puff pastry and use a cup or small bowl as a mould – to cut circles.

Place a small handful of bacon, a slice or two of pear and a few crumbs of blue cheese in each circle of pastry. Fold in half and pinch the edges. Use a fork to press down where you’ve pinched.

Place the pastry parcels on the baking tray and brush with the beaten egg.

Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before eating. They should be enjoyed warm. If they get a bit cold, heat them up slightly.
