Mix marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
Add vegetables and seasoning to taste.
Stir thoroughly to combine and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Thread vegetables onto kebab skewers (which have been soaked in water, to prevent sticking and burning), reserving marinade for brushing.
Braai over medium coals, or grill, brushing with marinade and turning regularly, until vegetables have softened and blackened at the edges.
Thread halloumi cheese onto the skewers for a great main course for vegetarians.
Serve with a salad and crusty bread.
