Ingredients (9)

500 g samp and bean mix
2 l water
1 onion — finely chopped
2 carrots — chopped
2 potatoes — chopped
400 g tomatoes — chopped
400 g mushroom soup
salt and freshly ground black pepper
100 g biltong — powder

Method:

Put the samp-and-bean mix in a
large pot with water over medium heat, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours
until soft.

Add the onion, carrots,
potatoes and tomatoes. Simmer for 30 minutes or until soft.

3 Stir in the mushroom soup and simmer
for another 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and season with the salt and
pepper.

Fold in the biltong powder and
leave to stand for 5 minutes.
