Ingredients (8)

400 g streaky bacon — Eskort
12 bread slices
1 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
2 cup cheddar cheese
3 tomatoes — sliced
1 red onion — sliced
1/4 cup butter

Method:

Place the streaky bacon into a frying pan and heat the pan over high heat. Fry until crispy.

Combine the cream cheese, jalapeños and cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl.

Spread all the slices with the cheese mix.

Place the tomatoes, bacon and red onion on the sarmies and close them.

Tie the sarmies with wet butcher’s twine and braai them for 5 minutes on each side over a hot fire.

Serve with chutney in front of the braai.
