|250 ml||flour — cake|
|5 ml||bicarbonate of soda|
|45 g||butter — melted|
|200 g||salmon — Norwegian, smoked and sliced|
|cream cheese — flavoured|
|30 ml||fish — red roe|
|freshly ground black pepper — to serve|
Mix flour and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk together egg, butter and buttermilk. Add to flour and whisk until smooth. Pour a spoonful of mixture at a time into a greased, heated frying pan over medium heat and cook for one minute on each side, or until golden.
Serve topped with salmon, cream cheese, roe and pepper.
