Schalk Burger’s banana loaf
|125 g||butter — at room temperature|
|1 cup||castor sugar|
|2||eggs — extra-large|
|1 tsp||vanilla — essence|
|2 cup||flour — cake|
|1 tsp||bicarbonate of soda|
|1 tsp||baking powder|
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter a 22 cm x 12 cm loaf pan.
Cream the butter and sugar together, then add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the bananas and the vanilla.
Sift the dry ingredients together and fold in.
Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-60 minutes.
