Raspberry chia jam

This cheats' version of jam is lower in sugar and uses chia seeds and frozen raspberries.

Ingredients (5)

500 g frozen raspberries
4 tbsp sugar
1 lemon — juiced
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp chia seeds

Add everything to a saucepan, excluding the chia seeds.

Heat on a medium until the sugar has dissolved, add the chia seeds and let everything bubble away gently (while stirring) until the mixture has thickened and is luscious and jammy.

Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.


You can easily adjust the amount sugar because the chia seeds are used to “set” this jam, not the sugar.
