Ingredients (7)

800.00 g calamari — rings or steaks
3.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
10.00 ml chilli paste
30.00 ml lemon juice
salt and freshly ground black pepper
30.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
lime — or lemon, halved, grilled

Method:

Place calamari, 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil, garlic, chilli paste, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl and toss to coat calamari.
Marinate for 15 minutes.

Heat remaining oil in a frying pan until very hot.
Remove calamari from marinade, drain well and fry in hot oil for 2 minutes.
Add reserved marinade and parsley and mix well.
Serve garnished with grilled halved limes or lemons.
Serve with a bowl of sweet chilli sauce for extra zoom.
