Ingredients (11)

30.00 g cocoa powder
85.00 g flour — self-raising
110.00 g butter — softened
110.00 g brown sugar — soft
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
2.00 eggs — large, slighly beaten
1.00 orange — zest and juice
SAUCE
30.00 g cocoa powder
85.00 g brown sugar — soft
300.00 ml milk
cream — whipped, to serve

Method:

Sift cocoa and flour together.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in vanilla and eggs and fold in flour mixture.
Mix in about 30 ml orange juice to form a dropping consistency and pour into a greased one itre ovenproof dish.
SAUCE: Mix the cocoa and sugar and gradually beat in remaining orange juice and milk. Pour over pudding.
Bake in a preheated 180 ºC oven for 40 to 60 minutes until firm and spongy to touch.
Serve hot or cold with or without cream.
