Honey and cinnamon buns

Ingredients (10)

350 g cake flour — plus more for dusting
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
200 ml milk
100 g salted butter — melted
2 egg yolks
For honey butter filling
60 g Goldcrest honey
1 tsp ground cinnamon
30 g salted butter — melted and cooled

Method:

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Whisk the flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.

In a smaller bowl, mix the egg yolks, milk, and butter until combined.

Combine the wet and dry mixtures until a dough is formed.

In a small bowl, whisk together Goldcrest honey, cinnamon and butter.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.

Spread the filling evenly across the dough, and then roll up gently.

Cut into 8 equal rolls and arrange in a greased round cake tin so that they fit snugly together.

Whisk one egg thoroughly and brush the surface of the buns generously with the egg wash.

Bake for 30- 35 minutes until golden brown and cooked though.

While they are still hot, drizzle the whole surface of the buns with Goldcrest honey. Brush it evenly over the buns to completely cover them.

Serve and enjoy!
