Ingredients (13)

2 bread loaf — of your choice
15 ml canola oil
1 onion — sliced
10 ml garlic and ginger paste
125 ml tomato purée
15 ml sugar
30 ml breyani masala
1 whole chicken — cooked, deboned, skinned and shredded
2 tinned butter beans — in curry sauce
1 canned brown lentils
125 ml water
125 ml fat-free plain yoghurt
60 ml coriander — chopped

Method:

Halve the loaves of bread and hollow them out.

Heat the oil and stir-fry the onion with the garlic and ginger paste until soft. Add the tomato purée, sugar and biryani masala.

Add the chicken, beans, drained lentils and water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes or until fragrant.

Stir in the yoghurt and coriander.

To serve, spoon into the hollowed-out bread. Garnish with yoghurt and coriander.
