Braai breads with mature cheddar and atchar
|12||bread — white, slices|
|100 g||mature cheddar cheese — grated|
|6 Tbs||atchar — spicy|
Spread each piece of bread with the butter.
Grate the cheese and arrange on 6 slices of bread. Tip: Don’t arrange the cheese to the very edge or it will ooze out when cooking.
Spread 1T of atchar on top of each cheesy slice. Tip: Don’t spread the atchar to the very edge or it will fall out when cooking.
Place the remaining 6 slices of bread on top of the cheesy slices to make a sandwich and press down, especially on the sides.
Place in a 2-sided braai grid and braai for 10-15 minutes turning every so often.
They should be toasted and the cheese melted.
