Bacon and green bean pasta
|300.00 g||pasta — ribbon|
|30.00 ml||sunflower oil|
|250.00 g||bacon — diced|
|1.00||onion — chopped|
|250.00 g||green beans — trimmed|
|200.00 ml||peas — frozen|
|80.00 ml||pesto — green or red|
Bring salted water to the boil in a large pot, then add the pasta.
Cook for about 10 or 12 minutes until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the oil and fry the bacon until crisp.
Remove from the pan, leaving the fat behind.
Add the onion and fry for two minutes until soft.
Stir in the green beans and cook for a further three minutes or until tender.
Add the peas, heat through, then stir into the drained pasta along with the pesto.
Serve hot, sprinkled with grated cheese, if you prefer.
