Ingredients (10)

Crust: butter
125.00 ml castor sugar
5.00 ml Robertson's baking powder
150.00 g flour — cake
75.00 ml cornflour
1.00 ml salt
1.00 eggs — beaten
Filling: pie apples
60.00 ml raisins — currants or sultannas, seedless
5.00 ml cinnamon — ground
5.00 ml mixed spice — ground
125.00 ml castor sugar

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cream the butter and caster sugar well. Sift together the
dry ingredients and add to the creamed
mixture, alternating with the beaten egg.
Spoon two thirds of the mixture into a pie
dish, spreading it out evenly.

Mix all the ingredients and spoon
them into the uncooked pie shell. Grate the
rest of the pastry on top. Bake for 30 min-
utes. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
