Dark in colour, the Carlonet is full-bodied, rich and intense. Fine undertones of vanilla oak finishes off this basketful of aromas. The nose carries through onto the palate with berries, dried fruit, spices and chocolate all contributing to a well-rounded feel, with the backbone of ripe tannins. There’s a long finish with a hint of spiciness at the end.

Best served between 16 and 18 degrees, the Carlonet can be enjoyed now through to 2023. It’s excellent by itself but really comes into its own when paired with steak, a rich oxtail casserole, or any pizza or pasta.
