If there’s one thing that parents far and near would most probably agree on, it’s that kids are the most picky eaters you’ll ever come across which makes keeping their meals interesting one heck of a challenge.

One doesn’t have to look very far to see that this is a universal problem:

You could make dinner for a toddler, or you could just cut out the middle man & throw away a plate of food and squirt ketchup on the dog.

You can lead a toddler to the dinner table, even strap her to a chair, but you can never make her eat.

Roasted broccoli for dinner tonight, and the rave reviews are in.

“What is this? It tastes like hair,” said one ungrateful child.

With picky little eaters, parents are forced to get creative with the hopes that they’ll craft something so amazing that their kid will actually want to eat it. Cue the colours and faces on a plate!

If you follow Jimmy Kimmel on Instagram and ever wondered how he manages to get his daughter to look at her breakfast like it’s the best thing since sliced bread, you’re in luck!

He recently told People Magazine his secret: “I just add organic food colouring to pancake mix and I put each one in a squirt bottle and I’ll just kind of squirt it out on to the pan.”

He also credits his skills to spending lots of time drawing as a child and the fact that he uses a non-stick pan. He also adds that his daughter makes requests to which he obeys.

There you have it: a creative flair, non-stick pan, organic food colouring, squirting bottles and honouring requests is the secret to a happier breakfast experience for all parties involved.
