Ingredients (6)

flour — cake
fresh ginger
1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
500 ml Buttermilk
1 tsp sugar
salt — pinch

Method:

Sift dry ingredients, add sugar then stir in buttermilk. Empty onto a floured board and shape into a rounded loaf. Using back of a knive indent a cross. Place in oven at 230 degrees for 40 mins. When finished wrap in clean cloth.
