Ingredients (7)

3 eggs — extra-large
150 g dark chocolate
250 ml walnuts — or pecan nuts, optional
160 ml flour — cake
200 g butter — or margerine
5 ml vanilla — or caramel essence
310 ml sugar

Method:

Melt chocolate and butter in microwave oven. Leave to cool slightly. Whisk eggs and sugar until light and creamy. Add essence. Fold chocolate into egg mixture and mix well. Sift flour and fold in until smooth. Spoon mixture in a greased oven pan of about 20cm x 24cm and bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes. Leave to cool in pan and cut into squares.
