Ingredients (12)

10 ml oil
1 tomatoes — large, sliced
1 onion — large, sliced
2 ml freshly ground black pepper
2 ml turmeric — ground
2 ml curry powder — mild
5 ml salt
6 tsp sugar
1 kg chicken — thighs, halved
2 potatoes — peeled, cubed
125 ml water
250 ml rice — cooked

Method:

heat the oil, add onion and fry till glazy, add tomato, simmer for 2 minutes. Add all flavorants. Simmer for 2 minutes add chicken and water. Turn heat to low to prevent burning and simmer till chicken is done and most of the water has evaporated.
Serve on cooked rice.
