Braised cabbage with spicy croutons

Ingredients (8)

2 tbsp fresh chillies — 573
1 tbsp butter
2 c bread — baguette
2 ml garlic — powder
2 ml red pepper
1 cabbage
125 ml water
fresh parsley — and lemon wedges

Method:

In large skillet heat olive oil and butter medium heat.

Add bread, garlic, and red pepper stir for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.

Add cabbage (cut in 6 wedges) overlapping if necessary. Season with salt and black pepper.

Add water bring to boil.

Reduce heat and simmer covered 15 minutes until tender.

Place cabbage on platter, drizzle with remaining olive oil.

Serve topped with croutons, parsley and lemon wedges.
