I strongly believe that sunlight, rain and plants are love letters for us from Mother Nature with a message that reads “here you go my love; some goodness to get you by. Warm regards, Mother Nature”.

I also believe that each letter is sealed, the old fashioned way, with a kiss and the nutrients trapped inside of fruits and veggies probably reflects this most. With everything that life sucks out of us and everything that we go through the least you can do for yourself is take in all the nourishment she dishes out, experience her variety and embrace the kisses – all of them.

Thank goodness for progress and evolution and everything in between because now you don’t need to consume copious amounts of fruits and vegetables to get your nutritional fix. You can have it juiced for your convenience so that you can sip in style and keep your cool. And since it’s important to both Mother Nature and I that you get what you deserve I’ve source four places in Joburg where you can get an amazing array of freshly pressed fruits and vegetables.

Juice Co.
The brain child of a group of friends, Juice Co, is what came from the yearning to find fulfillment and balance on a day-to-day basis, their solution? 24 different flavours of freshly pressed juices made from a mix of fruits and vegetables. The juices are a quick and easy source of energy for your body to help you get through all that life throws at you in the most natural form. Unfortunately you won’t find them in stores but you can order online from They offer a range of juices specially made for cleansing as well as, a booster range, kids packs and the rainbow of other juices.

Pressed Juice
Charged with the mission of making the quality of your life just a little bit better Pressed Juice calls on the help of seasonal fruits and vegetable to get the job done. Their raw, cold-pressed juices are made from fresh fruits and vegetables, retaining all the nutrients needed for your body to prosper. You can take a pick of anything from their juice a day to their five day cleansers . The juices are a modest and delicious way to offer your body kindness, with a fuss-free bottle of heaven that fits perfectly into your hand so that you can stay on the move. There too is an online store and you can visit to place and order.

Bliss Juicery
Their tag line “100% natural, 100% good for you!” that says it all if you ask me. Bliss Juicery is in the business of making cold-pressed juices, smoothies and wellness shots that are intended to charge your body and make available helpings of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Luckily they have a store that houses all their juiced gems in Craighall and if you can’t make it there but you’re within a 15km radius then they can deliver. Order at

This is one of my personal favourites and as cliché as it may seem each time I’ve had one of their juices or smoothies I’ve walked away pretty darn impressed! They run everything from a few cool concept stores around Joburg including one at 27Boxes in Melville and in Sandton at the Gautrain Precinct and you can also find them at some of the major markets. Each juice is a vibrant colour thanks to the fruits and vegetables inside and they’re designed to quench your thirst while improving the efficiency of the body's natural 'house-keeping system'. If you’d like to get in touch or make an order visit
