Ostrich burger

    ostrich burger
  • cherry tomatoes
  • 1
    ripe avocado
  • pinch
    salt
  • pinch
    pepper
  • mixed green salad
  • 4
    ciabatta rolls
  • 2
    potatoes - grated
  • 1
    onion - grated
  • 1
    egg - beaten
  • 250
    g
    white button mushrooms
  • 1
    Tbs
    butter
  • 1
    Tbs
    olive oil
  • 1/2
    cup
    fresh cream
  • 1/2
    cloves
    garlic - crushed
  • 1
    sprig
    thyme
 

Method

Season ostrich burger with salt and pepper and set aside.


Season mushroom with salt & pepper, and fry mushrooms in 1tbs olive oil and 1tbs

butter on medium heat.


Add garlic, wait until mushrooms are browned, then add fresh cream and thyme.


Cook for another 4 minutes and set aside.


In a separate pan saute the ostrich burgers for about 3 minutes on each side.


Slice Avocado and cherry tomatoes


Mix potatoes, onion and 1 egg together, form into round flat shapes and shallow

fry.


Stack up the burger - freestyle and have fun with it.


TIP: Too much heat is bad for your fresh cream
