840.00 g flour — white bread
10.00 ml salt
10.00 ml sugar
10.00 g Superbake Instant Yeast
20.00 ml margarine
625.00 ml water — lukewarm

Method:

Preheat oven to 200 ºC. Grease a 2 x 23 cm loaf tin.
Sift together flour and salt, add sugar and instant dry yeast. Mix well.
Rub margarine into dry ingredients.
Gradually add lukewarm water to mix to a soft dough. Add more water if needed.
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead dough for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise to double the size – approximately 20 minutes.
Punch down the dough and divide into two.
Place each portion on a greased loaf tin, cover with oiled plastic wrap and leave to rise again in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes, until double in size.
Brush top with water and bake for 35 minutes.
