Ingredients (11)

800.00 g steak — tenderised
60.00 ml flour — seasoned with salt and pepper
15.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
25.00 ml butter
2.00 garlic — cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
250.00 g shallots — peeled
2.00 bay leaves
200.00 g bacon — rindless, chopped
60.00 ml whiskey
100.00 g pecan nuts — coarsely chopped
45.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped

Method:

Coat steaks in seasoned flour.
Heat oil and half the butter in a large frying pan and fry steaks quickly on both sides to seal in juices.
Add rest of butter, garlic, shallots, bay leaves and bacon and stir-fry until lightly browned. Stir in whisky, chopped pecan nuts and parsley and warm through.
Serve with roasted baby leeks.
