Ingredients (9)

125.00 g bacon
25.00 ml oil
2.00 onion — chopped
250.00 g mushrooms — sliced
750.00 ml pearl wheat — cooked
125.00 ml stock — chicken
50.00 ml raisins
salt
freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Fry bacon until crisp and chop. Add oil to the bacon fat and sauté onion until soft. Add mushrooms and sauté until cooked. Return the bacon to the pan with the pearl wheat, chicken stock and raisins. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Simmer until most of the chicken stock has been absorbed and the dish is heated through. Serve hot.
Serves 6.
