Waterblommetjie bredie

    waterblommetjies, trimmed and washed
  • 2
    medium onions, sliced
  • 2
    medium potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 400
    vegetable stock
  • 1
    green apple, grated
  • 10
    lemon juice


30 minutes
1. Place waterblommetjies, onions, potatoes and vegetable stock in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender, but still crisp. 2. Stir in grated apple and lemon juice. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve.
