Viennese biscuits

    soft butter
  • 50
    icing sugar
  • 225
    cake flour
  • 5
    vanilla essence
  • 50
    white chocolate
  • 50
    dark chocolate

Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Beat together the butter, icing sugar, cake flour and vanilla essence to form a soft dough. Spoon dough into a piping bag with a star nozzle. Pipe 5 cm-long strips on to a greased baking tray, leaving space in between for biscuits to expand. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking tray. Melt the white and dark chocolate separately. Pour the dark chocolate into the white chocolate. Pull a knife through the mixture so that it looks like marble. Dip one half of each biscuit into the chocolate. Cool on a wire rack until chocolate sets. Makes 20.
