Veggie burgers

Ingredients

  • 200
    g
    fresh button mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1
    large onion, finely chopped butter for frying
  • 1
    tin brown lentils
  • 30
    ml
    each sesame and sunflower seeds
  • salt, milled pepper and garlic powder
  • 15
    ml
    orange juice
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 45
    ml
    wholewheat flour to bind (if necessary)
 

Method

 
Sauté mushrooms and onion in a little butter until soft.
Drain the lentils. Mix all ingredients, except egg and flour.
Add egg and flour, a little at a time, until ingredients bind easily.
Shape into patties and fry or grill until done.

Serve on crisp buns and a side salad
