125.00 g chocolate — peppermint
90.00 g butter
90.00 g currants — or sultanas
90.00 g almonds — blanched or pecan nuts, chopped
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
45.00 ml condensed milk
500.00 g icing sugar
1.00 eggs — extra-large, beaten

Method:

Line a 34 x 27 cm pan with wax paper. Melt the peppermint chocolate and butter together. Add all the other ingredients, except the egg, and blend. Add the egg and mix well. Spoon into the prepared tin and chill. Cut into squares once the mixture is stiff and keep in the fridge.
Makes about 55 soft fudge squares.
