Tuna melts

    tuna, drained
  • 1
    stick celery, finely sliced
  • 2
    spring onions, finely sliced
  • 65

    slices pumpernickel or rye bread, toasted
  • 4
    slices uncoloured Cheddar cheese


1. Mix tuna, celery, spring onions and mayonnaise in a small bowl. 2. Toast bread on one side only under griller. 3. Spread tuna mixture on each untoasted side of bread. Top each half with one slice of cheese. Place under hot grill until the cheese has melted.
