Tomato and onion relish

    onions, finely chopped
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 6
    large tomatoes, peeled and grated
  • 5
    cayenne pepper
  • 2
    green or red chillies, de-seeded and chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until transparent. Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients and cook through until sauce is nice and thick. Serve over phutu.
