Ingredients (18)

500.00 g beef mince
30.00 ml butter
1.00 onion — medium, chopped
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
15.00 ml flour — cake
100.00 ml stock — meat
30.00 ml tomato purée
200.00 g fresh mushrooms, wiped clean — sliced
5.00 ml salt
freshly ground black pepper — to taste
1.00 ml dried oregano — or fresh, chopped
TOPPING
250.00 ml yoghurt — plain
2.00 eggs — large, beaten
50.00 ml flour — self-raising
100.00 g cheddar cheese — grated
1.00 ml salt
freshly ground black pepper — to taste
5.00 ml paprika

Method:

Microwave the butter, onion and garlic in a casserole dish on 100 per cent power for 2 minutes. Add the mince and mix well with a fork. Microwave for 5 minutes on 100 percent power and stir once. Add the flour, heated meat stock and tomato purée. Mix well and microwave on 70 per cent power for 5-7 minutes or till the mixture thickens slightly. Add the mushrooms and seasonings and spoon into a glass bowl. Prepare the topping: Beat ail the ingredients except the paprika together. Pour over the mincemeat mixture and sprinkle with paprika. Microwave for 12-15 minutes on 70 per cent power or till the topping has set.
Serves 4-6.
