  • 1
    quantity heavenly chocolate cake, cake mixture (see recipe)
  • strawberry jam
  • cream, stiffly whipped


Cut off one of the large sides of a 27 x 19 cm breakfast-cereal box. Line the resulting rectangular container with kitchen towelling. Spoon the batter into the box and microwave for 5 minutes on 100 per cent power. Turn the cake out on a clean tea towel sprinkled with a little castor sugar and carefully roll it up. Cool. Unroll when needed and spread the cake with strawberry jam and whipped cream. Roll up again and serve.
