Swiss muesli

  • 125
    lower GI oats
  • 175
    tub low-fat or fat-free fruit yoghurt (sweetened)
  • 1
    apple, washed
  • 1
    medium banana
  • 5
    lemon juice
  • 30
    chopped nuts of your preference


1. Mix the oats with the yoghurt.
2. Grate the apple and slice the banana on top of the oat mixture.
3. Pour the lemon juice over and stir well or overnight, if desired.
4. Allow to stand for a while or overnight, if desired.
5. Dish into 2 breakfast bowls and top with the nuts.
6. Serve and enjoy.

You must use sweetened yoghurt; otherwise the muesli will be very sour, due to the presence of the lemon juice.
