Ingredients (10)

125.00 ml vinegar — apple cider
30.00 ml tomato sauce
15.00 ml soy sauce
125.00 ml sugar
25.00 ml cornflour
200.00 g tofu — cut into 4cm cubes
0.00 sunflower oil — for deep frying
3.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
1.00 onion — small, sliced
500.00 g stir-fry vegetables

Method:

1. Sauce Mix the vinegar, tomato sauce, soya sauce, sugar and cornflour. Add 175ml boiling water. Stir and set aside.
2. Deep-fry the tofu in sunflower oil until golden. Drain on paper towels.
3. Heat 45ml sunflower oil in a wok or
frying pan. Add the garlic and onion and fry for a minute. Add the vegetables and stir-fry over high heat until just cooked. Stir in the sauce and cook until it starts to thicken. Add the tofu and serve on a bed of rice or noodles.
