Ingredients (13)

MEAT
500.00 g beef mince
eggs
1.00 onion — finely chopped
30.00 g breadcrumbs — fresh
5.00 ml fresh ginger — juice
salt
freshly ground black pepper
oil — for deep frying
SAUCE
250.00 ml water
60.00 ml soy sauce
30.00 ml sugar
50.00 ml vinegar — grape
cornflour

Method:

Mix all the ingredients for the meat and season to taste with salt and pepper. Roll into small balls. Heat enough oil in a saucepan for deep-frying and fry the balls until brown. Drain on kitchen towelling. Blend all the ingredients for the sauce and heat to boiling point. Thicken with a little cornflour blended with a little water. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and serve.
Serves 4.
