Stuffed dates

  • 12
    dates, fresh and pitted
  • 50
    chopped almonds
  • 50
    chopped hazelnuts
  • honey to taste
  • lemon juice to taste
  • a splash of rosewater
  • baker's gold dust (available from baking shops)


Make a mixture of the finely chopped almonds or hazelnuts, honey, lemon juice and rosewater.
Stuff into fresh pitted dates and serve with coffee.
Splash out and brush with baker's gold dust for special occasions.
